CLIMATE CHANGE IN SOUTHEAST ASIA PROGRAMME

About the Webinar

Southeast Asia faces an urgent need to decarbonise as energy demand rises rapidly across the region. While many countries have set ambitious climate goals, including carbon neutrality pledges, significant obstacles remain. Low-carbon hydrogen initially generated considerable excitement within Southeast Asia due to its potential to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors, enhance energy security and export potential. However, actual developments have been slow, with many projects still in the early phase and significant infrastructure and policy challenges remaining. In this seminar, the speakers will share their views on the state of low-carbon hydrogen developments in Southeast Asia and how developments are affected by global hydrogen trends.
