Description
Carbon markets are emerging as a crucial tool for Southeast Asia to achieve its climate goals while driving sustainable economic growth. Though ASEAN countries hold significant potential in this space, progress remains uneven due to divergent policies, market structures, and levels of stakeholder engagement. This webinar will provide an assessment of the current carbon market landscape across the ASEAN region. It will then take a closer look at Vietnam and Indonesia, examining key trends, developments, and challenges shaping their carbon markets. Speakers will also explore recent outcomes from COP29, particularly the implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, and analyze how these developments are shaping collaboration between governments and the private sector.
