Asia Pacific Museum Exchange Webinar Specialist


The Asia Pacific Museum Exchange Program is seeking a Museum Webinar Specialist to assist with the development and facilitation of museum management training webinars. This position will provide specialized support to the Senior Curator and CSEAS staff in implementing a series of virtual training sessions throughout 2025.

Duties and Technical Skills Required:

  • Provide specialized assistance to the Senior Curator and CSEAS staff for museum management
  • training webinars.
  • Develop virtual management training series and facilitate 8 webinar series for the new NPS-
  • CSEAS Asia Pacific Museum Exchange Program; Four webinars in the Spring and four
  • webinars in the Fall of 2025.
  • Develop and edit NPS museum management policy guides for Asia Pacific Museum Exchange Program
  • Manage and present Fundamentals of Managing Museum Collections webinar training
  • Develop museum risk management module including emergency planning, security, and fire protection
  • Provide logistical coordination for virtual webinar instructors
  • Assist with online learning environment during each webinar session (3 hours in length)
  • Develop asynchronous Fundamentals of Managing Museum Collections virtual training modules covering a range of museum topics such as strategic planning, management policy,
  • documentation, fire protection, and collections management and an associated learner
  • workbook.
  • Revise the NPS Museum Worksheets for use in whiteboard exercise of webinar.
  • Revise the NPS Museum Worksheets for use in whiteboard exercise of webinar.

Deliverables

  • 8 virtual webinars, 3 hours in length on the following dates:
    • Webinar Date: March 15, March 26, April 23, May 21, August 27, September 24, October 29, and November 19, 2025
  • 8 PowerPoints on designated topics for use in the webinar as instruction tool
  • Inter-session assignments for participants to be determined with Senior curator and CSEAS staff
  • Articles relevant to webinar topic that are pdf-ed as resources for participants
