Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD)

The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD), sponsored by the US Department of State, provides a scholarship for one semester of non-degree study at a US college or university. Aimed at emerging student leaders, the program enhances participants’ understanding of the US while fostering leadership skills through academic coursework, community service, and professional development activities. Students also participate in a leadership workshop in Washington, DC, before returning to apply their skills in their home communities.
Duration
One semester (either August – December 2025 or January – May 2026)
Eligibility
- Indonesian citizens over 18 years old by August 2025.
- Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate (S1/D4) student in Indonesia with good academic standing.
- Completed at least one semester of study by January 2025, with at least one full academic year remaining after May 2026.
- Demonstrates leadership through academics, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.
- Proficiency in English (minimum TOEFL ITP 500, iBT 61, IELTS 6.0, or Duolingo 95).
- Committed to returning to Indonesia upon program completion.
