East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship

The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship provides funding for graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the U.S. to study at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM) while participating in educational, cultural, community-building, and leadership development programs. Fellows engage in activities that emphasize building a community dedicated to positive change and future leadership within the Asia-Pacific region.
Duration
Covers the full duration of the recipient’s Master’s or Doctoral program at UHM.
Eligibility
- Citizens or permanent residents of the United States or a country in Asia, the Pacific, or Russia.
- Applicants must have a 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last four semesters or six quarters of undergraduate study and in all post-baccalaureate work.
- Priority is given to candidates with demonstrated commitment to the Asia-Pacific region.
