Webinar Recording Now Available: International Education Careers – Nothing Adventured, Nothing Gained


We are pleased to announce that the recording of our International Education Careers: Nothing Adventured, Nothing Gained webinar, part of the Fall 2024 Careers in Asia-Pacific Affairs Speaker Series, is now available on the CSEAS YouTube channel!

The webinar, held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, featured a panel of experts who discussed the evolution of international education, the opportunities it offers, and how area studies and language skills can be assets in building a career in global education. CAPA Talk: International Education Careers: Nothing Adventured, Nothing Attained

International Schools and overseas university campuses, separate from religious-based boarding schools of the 19th-20th centuries, expanded globally post-WWII. Many institutions were founded to provide education to diplomats’ children. In the last 30 years, American and European universities established overseas campuses to extend their reach at a time when visas have become increasingly difficult and education more costly.
