The Department of Asian Languages & Literature at the University of Washington seeks a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor of Vietnamese, starting Autumn 2025. Key details include:

Responsibilities:
- Teach Vietnamese language courses at all levels
- Develop curricular and teaching materials
- Conduct placement tests
- Occasionally train and supervise teaching assistants
- Perform departmental committee service
Qualifications:
- M.A. (or equivalent) in Vietnamese language/literature, second language pedagogy, or a related field
- Native or near-native proficiency in Vietnamese and fluency in English
- At least 1 year of experience teaching Vietnamese at the college level
