Fulbright Master’s Degree Scholarship
Purpose
Provides Indonesian citizens the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in the U.S. (1-2 years), in fields other than patient-care or clinical medicine.
Funding
Covers tuition, living expenses, airfare, and health insurance. Dependents are not supported.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be
- An Indonesian citizen, not a U.S. permanent resident or currently living in the U.S.
- Demonstrate leadership and community service experience and a commitment to returning to Indonesia after the program.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (S1) with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Meet the required English proficiency scores (TOEFL ITP 550, TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, or Duolingo 110).

Fulbright Doctoral Degree (PhD) Scholarship
Purpose
Provides Indonesian citizens with an opportunity to pursue a PhD at a U.S. university (up to 3 years), excluding fields related to patient-care or clinical medicine. The program is intended to support scholars who plan to return to Indonesia to contribute to academia.
Funding
Covers tuition, living expenses, airfare, and health insurance. Dependents are not supported.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be
- An Indonesian citizen, not a U.S. permanent resident or currently living in the U.S.
- Hold a master’s degree (S2) with a minimum GPA of 3.0.Meet the English proficiency requirements (TOEFL ITP 575, TOEFL iBT 90, IELTS 7.0, or Duolingo 120).
- Intend to take up or return to an academic position upon completion of the program.
Fields of Study
Open to most disciplines, with emphasis on humanities, social sciences, and STEM fields related to environmental preservation, alternative energy, and climate change.
