CSEAS Co-Sponsors Careers in Asia-Pacific Affairs Initiative
The Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa is proud to co-sponsor the Careers in Asia-Pacific Affairs (CAPA) initiative, recently launched by the School of Pacific and Asian Studies (SPAS). This initiative aims to prepare students for diverse careers in government, education, business, and the nonprofit sector, focusing on expertise in the Asia-Pacific region.
As part of the initiative, a new three-credit course and a speaker series have been introduced to connect students with industry professionals. Recent events featured Larry Chun, Special Agent at the U.S. Department of State, and Mireille Zieseniss, Public Diplomacy Advisor at U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
The next CAPA speaker event, Think Tank Careers: Policy, Communications, and Project Management, will take place on October 25.
