Congratulations Olivia Meyer!

Congratulations to UH Geography and Environment PhD candidate and two-year Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship recipient Olivia Meyer for being awarded a Fulbright-Hays award to conduct her dissertation research in Bangkok. Her project, “Plastic Panacea- ‘Circular Economies’ and the Political Ecology of Plastic Waste in Thailand” proposes a year of ethnographic research in Thailand. Research findings will advance the understanding of how plastics may be revalued through new sustainability models and contribute to circular economies in Thailand and beyond.
