UH Javanese Gamelan Ensemble (Byron Moon, director) performs on Gamelan Kyai Gandrung, a complete gamelan set from Central Java. The set is around one hundred years old and has been part of the UHM Music Department’s instrument collection since 1970. The ensemble consists of university students and community members.
