UH Mānoa Awarded $7M for International Studies, Including Southeast Asia
The Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is proud to be part of a prestigious $7 million grant award from the U.S. Department of Education’s Title VI International Education program. This funding, awarded over a four-year grant cycle, strengthens UH Mānoa’s national leadership in international studies, with a focus on the Asia and Pacific regions.
The grant supports several key programs, including the National Resource Center for Southeast Asia and the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship for Southeast Asia. These grants will enable UH Mānoa to continue its critical work in language instruction, research, curriculum development, and outreach focused on Southeast Asia.
