2020-2021 FLAS Fellowship Open for Application!

Application period: November 1, 2019 – January 17, 2020 at 5pm HST.

Award term: Summer 2020, Academic Year 2020-2021

The Southeast Asia Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships are available in two forms: academic year fellowships and summer fellowships. The AY fellowship is intended for University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa undergraduate and graduate students who combine language training with an area studies focus. The summer fellowship funds intensive language study through a pre-approved program. Eligible students may apply for both academic year and summer FLAS.

Eligibility:

• US citizen or permanent resident
• Full-time, classified University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa student
