UH Mānoa Awarded $5M in Grants for Excellence in International Education
The Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is proud to announce that the university has been awarded five prestigious Title VI International Education grants, totaling $5 million over a four-year cycle. These grants reaffirm UH Mānoa’s leadership in international studies, with a focus on the Asia and Pacific regions.
Among the awards is the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship for Southeast Asia, which provides funding to support UH Mānoa students in their study of Southeast Asian languages and area studies. The grants will also enhance foreign language training, curriculum development, outreach, and research through the National Resource Center and the National Foreign Language Resource Center.
